Fauna Iberica Vol. 35

This monograph of the series Fauna Iberica is devoted to two families of coleoptera: Monotomidae and Cryptophagidae, and is the first synthesis of these groups from the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. In the general charpters the systematic position for each family is analysed, together with their morphology and natural history. The second part is more specialised and presents a catalogue of the approximately 120 Iberian-Balearic species.

The reader will be able to identify the adult speciemens of all species through dichotomous keys that refermainly to external morphological characters that can be identified by direct observation. The descriptions of each species contain illustrations and informations on their geographical distribution and biology.

The monograph also includes an extensive and updated bibliography, as well as an annex on scientific nomenclature.
